Two people died after being hit by a train near Reno. Union Pacific officials reported yesterday that both incidents were not related even though they happened a few hours apart. The first incident happened shortly after midnight when a train heading to California struck a person near the Reno-Sparks area. The second accident occurred after six a.m. when a train heading to Chicago struck a second person near Fernley.
Neither victim has been identified at this time.
