Police Remove 112 Cats From North Las Vegas Home

As many as 112 cats were taken from a North Las Vegas home on Thursday.  Officer Aaron Patty of North Las Vegas police said the felines, and one dog, were removed from a house on Harp Way, near Gowan Road and Revere Street.

Patty said building inspectors went to investigate because of public safety concerns. Inside, they found the house in poor shape, with urine and feces throughout and, no air conditioning. A woman at the home was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. Patty said she will not be able to return home after her admittance. The pets were taken to Lied Animal Shelter, where their health will be checked.
