NBA Summer League Tips Off

The NBA Summer League begins play today in Las Vegas. The league, which started in 2004, features a mix of high draft picks, free agents, and veteran players needing some work. Eight of the NBA's top 10 draft picks are set to participate, as are former UNLV Runnin' Rebels Khem Birch, Roscoe Smith, and 2013 No. 1 draft pick Anthony Bennett.

Last year a record 62,000 fans attended the games in the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion. With three new teams this year--Utah, Houston and Philadelphia--organizers think attendance will be even higher. The games last until July 21st,
