Metro Increases Efforts For Gang Intervention

Last month, Las Vegas Metro Police introduced a new initiative for curbing gang activity.

Police will perform interventions for minors suspected of gang membership by informing the minor’s parents. And gang members who are already flagged by Metro now have the opportunity to get themselves removed from the gangs database.

So how big a problem are gangs for Las Vegas, and is the gang population expanding?
