Firefighters are making gains containing wildfires in parts of eastern Nevada. The MCG Complex is made up of three wildfires in eastern Nevada and southwestern Utah. One of them is the Lages Fire that is about 75 percent contained.
The other two include the Middle Ridge fire just southeast of Panaca and the Cottonwood fire northeast of Panaca. The fires cover more than 33 square miles though they remain in remote areas and are not threatening any structures or communities at this time.
