Family Court Harassment Episode Ends In Settlement

A Las Vegas woman will receive a $200,000 settlement from the state after she sued a family court marshal for groping her. Monica Contrerars originally complained to the hearing master of the Clark County Family Court about Officer Ron Fox. She claimed he groped her under the guise of searching for drugs. The incident was captured on tape. Fox was fired after an internal investigation and the hearing master was let go for the negative publicity. The Family Court marshals are under investigation for use of excessive force.
