Nevada Insurance Expert's Warnings About Ride Sharing

The debate over ride sharing services such as Lyft may be a risky venture according to state insurance experts.

Nevada's Insurance Division is warning consumers that some of the ride sharing drivers may not be insured. That means a rider who is injured in that car could also be in financial risk. The division is asking riders to first check the driver's insurance coverage. No ride-sharing service is officially allowed to operate in Nevada. The Taxi Cab Authority and numerous cab companies have spoken out against these services because they are not being regulated like the cabs companies are.
