Nevada Business Leader Jim Rogers Dies

Jim Rogers, owner of television stations across the state, including News 3 in Las Vegas, passed away this weekend after a long battle with cancer. Rodgers owned Intermountain West Communications, owners of stations in Las Vegas, Reno and Elko. He donated millions to charity and especially education. His largest donation was $137 million to his alma mater, University of Arizona College of Law. He was chancellor of the Nevada System of Higher Education from 2005 to 2009.
