Medical Marijuana Vote In Las Vegas Today

Las Vegas city council members will vote today (Wednesday) on a medical marijuana plan. On Monday a committee of three of the council's members approved the 28-page plan without changes. The plan includes restrictions on samples, customer rewards programs and drive-thru windows. Dispensaries will also not be able to pay employees with marijuana products. Councilman Frank Hakwins told the Las Vegas Review Journal that he has a problem with the restrictions on advertising. Back in May the council approved zoning for 12 dispensaries.
