Many Nevada Children are Overweight

Almost one third of Nevada's kids are out of shape.

The annual report from the Nevada Institute for Children's Research and Policy shows that 30-percent of Nevada's four- and five-year-old children are overweight or obese. The number of kids listed as overweight increased by almost one-and-a-half percent since last year. Health experts at the institute say lawmakers need to come up with policies that give kids more healthy eating choices and more activities at schools.
