Add another honor to long list for former UNLV basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian. Yesterday the Las Vegas City Senior Citizens Advisory Board awarded the 83-year-old legendary coach as a Las Vegas Senior of the Quarter. Tarkanian is a member of the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame. He went to the NCAA tournament with three different schools. He coached the 1990 UNLV team that won a national title. The Las Vegas Sun reports Mayor Carolyn Goodman called him the "the most beloved human being in our community."
