There are only a couple days left for Nevadans who were unable to purchase health insurance to take advantage of the special enrollment period. This period was approved by the state due to the ongoing problems plaguing the Nevada Health Link website to help the thousands of Nevadans who could not complete the enrollment process. Roughly 35,700 state residents purchased insurance through the program. Last week the state board fired Xerox, the operator of the website.
The next enrollment period begins in November and Nevada is partnering with the federal government to handle enrollments. The 60-day enrollment period ends Friday before midnight.
