New Hazards At Lake Mead

Lake Mead park officials are asking boaters to be more vigilant about new hazards. Lake Mead is almost 20 feet lower than the same time last year. That means new shallow areas as well as surfaced rocks that could cause problems for some boats. Park officials placed markers and buoys in some of those new hazardous areas. With the lower water levels there are new coves and more beach space for recreation.
