Feds Reconsider Vegas For Conventions

The federal government may be loosening up the rules prohibiting employees from holding conventions in places like Las Vegas. Two years ago federal employees were caught spending hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars in Las Vegas. Shortly after, the Justice Department changed the rules on where conventions could be held. Las Vegas Representative Mark Amodei added language to a spending bill that would call for the agency to reconsider holding conferences in resort cities. The bill goes to the House for a vote. Republican Dean Heller and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid support the bill.
