Clark County enters the newsrack business

The news racks found up and down the strip, most often filled with advertisements for escort services, will now be under the control of the county.

Yesterday commissioners approved an ordinance that allows the county to create more uniformity in the types of news racks that will be dispersed along Las Vegas Boulevard. The new newsracks will be put up by January of 2015. Vendors will have to apply to the county to use them.
