What happens if you take a classical tale and meld it with a bunch of clowns? It could be surreal or amusing ... but it would also be a real mash-up. That's what happens when a wealthy Viennese patron demands that 'Ariadne auf Naxos' be performed simultaneously with a clown troupe -- the comedians push their way into the classical mythology. UNLV Opera will be performing Richard Strauss' "Ariadne auf Naxos" this weekend, and we talk with some cast members.
