Life In Guatemala Marked By Fear

We learned this week that for the Hispanic community here in Nevada, the great recession is ongoing. According to a UNLV Brookings Mountain West study, unemployment among Hispanics is still almost four percent higher than the rest of the state.

Now, this lingering recession has sent many Latino immigrants back to their home countries. Yet life there is often marked by fear. As Reporter Jill Replogle reports from Guatemala, violence has become an everyday part of life.
