Captain Larry Burns is bureau commander at Bolden Area Command and has been with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department since 1986. He is also one of six candidates jockeying to replace Doug Gillespie as Clark County Sheriff.
Although Assistant Sheriff Joe Lombardo is widely considered to be the front-runner in the race, Burns has won some high-profile endorsements, including one from Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto. He’s also backed by the Las Vegas Police Protective Association. We talk about his plans if elected.
