Las Vegas Seeks GOP Convention

In 2016, thousands of button-wearing, placard-carrying GOP delegates will descend on one city to officially announce their chosen presidential candidate. And Las Vegas boosters, including some casino moguls with deep pockets, are hoping that the party has their party here in Las Vegas.

After all, the city is known for hosting conventions on topics ranging from computers to concrete. But will a political party known for conservative values feel comfortable meeting in an arena so close to casinos, topless revues and hip night clubs?
