Meet The Test Tube Pupfish

The Devil’s Hole Pupfish is the rarest of rare species – just a few dozen of the small fish exist in the wild. The species, which only lives in Devil’s Hole at the edge of Death Valley, has been on the brink of extinction for years.

But a new effort is hoping to bring the species back by hatching fish in an elaborate lab that mimics the conditions at Devil’s Hole. Can these scientific efforts save the pupfish?
