Feds Push Nuclear Waste Burial In Nevada

The Las Vegas Sun unearthed a trove of documents that show that the U.S. Department of Energy was moving forward on a plan to bury nuclear waste in Nevada, even before safety studies had been completed. These documents seem to suggest that the agency wasn't really considering the position of Nevada officials when they made the decision to move the waste from Oak Ridge National Laboratory to the Nevada National Security Site. But now that the information is out, will it change the way federal authorities treat this waste?
