The Water Cops Are Watching

There is a small army of water technicians for the Las Vegas Valley Water District, or " water cops." These are the men and women who drive through communities looking for where water is being wasted. Sometimes it's a broken sprinkler; sometimes it's someone watering their lawn during the restricted hours.

But are these water cops just looking to hand out fines? Dennis Demenar supervises the team of technicians who hand out warnings and citations and he says "not really." He just wants people to know how they can do their part to conserve water. He joins us to take your calls about water waste.
