Unemployment Benefits Cut By More Than Half

At the beginning of September, the state cut benefits for the long-term unemployed by 59 percent. Nevada was the last state to implement spending reductions mandated by the sequester, which resulted in drastic cuts for the month of September. So why did the state wait so long? And how long will the cuts last?
