Moody For Sheriff?

Ted Moody, one of three candidates already declared for the 2014 race for sheriff of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, will discuss his stand on key issues -- including budgeting and police use of force -- and take questions from KNPR listeners.

Incumbent Sheriff Doug Gillespie has announced that he is not seeking a third term.

Moody, who had served at the high executive levels in Metro for eight years, abruptly retiredthis summer from his post as assistant sheriff, in protest of Gillespie's decision to retain an officer whom the overhauled Use of Force Review Board had recommended dismissing.
