Gronauer Runs For Sheriff

Las Vegan Robert "Bobby G." Gronauer, who was named of the nation's top police officers in 1989, is one four people who have announced they're running for Clark County sheriff. The election is not until November 2014.

Gronauer spent five years as a Baltimore police officer, 24 years with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, 12 years as Las Vegas Township constable and three years running his own private investigations firm.

"I'm not just a one-dimensional person," Gronauer said. "I have more depth and breadth of experience than a person who just got angry," and says, 'I'm going to run.'"

KNPR is presenting a series of interviews with candidates for sheriff.
