The National Science Foundation awarded a $20 million grant to UNLV, UNR and the Desert Research Institute to develop better ways of harnessing solar energy. The grant will help researchers address the use of water in solar energy, and the impact of solar farms on the desert ecosystem. We'll talk to two researchers about the challenges of producing solar energy, and how they hope to address them.
