Harvey Whittemore Convicted

Long-time lobbyist and political operative Harvey Whittemore was convicted of three felony counts in U.S. Federal Court in Reno on Wednesday. His crime? Channeling money to Sen. Harry Reid's campaign coffers via friends and associates. The jury found that Whittemore did reimburse people who had nominally made the limited contributions allowed by federal election law. So what does this mean for Sen. Reid and for Nevada politics?
