Legislation Would Allow Abuse Victims To Break Lease

A woman facing an abusive partner often has to leave the home the two shared. But that can mean breaking a lease, which can lead to a bad credit record and make it very difficult to find another place. Some of those problems might be solved if new legislation is passed by the state legislature allowing abused women to break a lease without damaging their record.
