The Gay-Mormon Decade

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has often seemed to be running a rearguard action against the changes in sexual customs. That has been highlighted by the church's campaign to inscribe the traditional definition of marriage into California law in 2008 with Proposition 8. But the situation is more complicated: the church has a small but growing coterie of gay members and those who support them. We meet two such members of the LDS church and author Michelle Beaver who has written about their experiences.
