Michael Dettinger On Megastorms

Atmospheric rivers have been dumping rain on the western coast of Mexico, the United States and Canada for generations. The biggest storms have annihiliated cities such as Sacramento. In a recent article in Scientific American, hydrologist Michael Dettinger and scientist B. Lynn Ingram warn that global warming could be putting these storms on steroids. They have spilled over into northern and southern Nevada in the past. So what are we in for with the next generation of megastorms?
