Some elections in Nevada have been very close. Just as the election of 2012 was very close, the one in 1912 was close as well. Democrat Key Pittman beat out Republican William A. Massey by 89 votes U.S. Senate seat.
The race for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives was closer than that with the winner, Republican Edwin E. Roberts, winning by just 69 votes.
And there was also the race for state supreme court which was still a partisan competition, won by P.A. McCarran.
