We look at the fuels that run our planes, trains and automobiles. First you'll hear from Daniel Yergin, the man who wrote the book about oil. “ The Prize: The Epic Quest for Money, Oil and Power” won the Pulitzer prize twenty years ago and was made into a PBS documentary. Then the focus switches to the controversial Keystone Pipeline. Then we hear from the president of the company that would build the pipeline, the Chairman of the Sierra Club and the editor of the Earth Island Journal. We conclude with a discussion about the biggest increase in fuel standards since Ronald Reagan was President. Host Greg Dalton talks with a regulator, an environmentalist and a representative of two automakers about the impact of the new fuel and CAFÉ standards.
