Opposition Art

Rigoberto Gonzalez isn't a violent man.  But he paints violent scenes: cartel members brutally beating Mexican citizens, ripping babies from their mothers, and even beheading men.  Rigoberto paints the violence along the border.  He believes that art can be a strong social commentary about conflict.  Where else do we see opposition art?  And what does opposition art - like Picasso's Guernica or the graffiti on the Berlin Wall - say about creativity that emerges from violence and oppression?
