Teaching Music to At-Risk Kids

Paola was 16, and grew up watching her father abuse her mother.  But when she played the violin, "it would take me away, and I would forget I had problems."  Paola is one of the many children who learned how to play instruments through LA's Harmony Project, a program for at-risk kids.  We talk to its founder, Margaret Martin, about why the connection between kids and music is so special, and with Hal Weller about a similar program for kindergarteners in Las Vegas.
