He's been a longtime regular on NPR's " Morning Edition" and "Performance Today," and literally wrote the book on classical music listening ("The NPR Classical Music Companion: An Essential Guide for Enlightened Listening"). He brings his viola skills to Las Vegas - he's performing Walton's Viola Concerto with the Las Vegas Philharmonic on Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. at UNLV's Artemus Ham Hall.
