February sixth marks the the centennial of the birth of Ronald Reagan. He wasn't a Nevadan and never lived in Nevada, but he had an impact here.
From performing at the Hotel Last Frontier to his relationship with Nevada's 21st and 22nd governors, Grant Sawyer and Paul Laxalt, Reagan forged a close relationship with the Silver State. For instance, Laxalt and Reagan helped form the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency to keep the lake beautiful. His relationship with Laxalt continued on through Reagan's presidency and helped forge the way for other Nevadans' involvment.
