Immigration Enforcement

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department signed a 287(g) agreement the U.S. Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement last year. The agreement allows local police departments to start deportation proceedings against undocumented immigrants who are being processed in the Clark County Detention Center for other crimes. Metro says it's a very limited agreement but critics are skeptical about the civil liberties implications. We talk with a Metro officer and American Civil Liberties Union General Counsel Allen Lichentstein.
