Nursing Crisis

Most of the problems with nurses - the idea that they are underpaid and not very smart as well as the looming shortage is caused by the negative media stereotypes. From ER to Gray's Anatomy, to reports from war zones, nurses are portrayed as irrelevant to modern medicine. So says Sandy Summers, co-author of the book, "Saving Lives: Why the Media's Portrayal of Nursing Puts Us All at Risk." She'll be speaking at the Greenspun School on Tuesday, August 11th, at UNLV.
