The New GI Bill

A new GI bill for 9/11 veterans who have served since Sept. 11, 2001 went into affect on August 1. It will provide $78 billion in tuition and fee benefits for former soldiers. We talk with Austin Wright, reporter for The Chronicle of Higher Education; Bob Ackerman, a UNLV education professor who has studied the needs of vets who become students; also Antonio Montenegro III, UNLV senior and president of the UNLV Student Veterans' Organization, and Michael Dakduk, UNLV junior and vice president of Student Veterans of America.
