Renoir at Bellagio

Renoir's "Children on the Beach in Guernsey - 1883"

The Bellagio Gallery of fine art opens a new exhibition Friday (6/10/05). Before the public gets to see the collection, the artworks are hung on walls that have been freshly painted vivid green and yellow inspired by the impressionists. Before that, the masterpieces are unpacked and inspected by curators from the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. Earlier this week we listened in as a Renoir was released from it's crate.

Mathew Hileman, the Managing Director of the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art and curators from the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, unpacking Renoir's "Children on the Beach in Guernsey - 1883". It's one of 34 impressionist landscapes that go on view to the public Friday (6/10/05) - The Impressionist Landscape from Corot to van Gogh.
