Despite Disagreements, Former UT Gov. To Vote For Trump

Former Utah governor Jon Huntsman Jr. says he'll vote for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump despite disagreeing with him on a "range of issues."

The Salt Lake Tribune reports Huntsman says a perfect choice doesn't exist but he wants to support Trump because he believes he will take on the Washington establishment.

The former governor, who ran for the presidency in 2012, criticized this year's election, saying its' been filled with "cheap shots" and "insults" instead of debate on real issues.

But Huntsman says Trump is better equipped than his rival, Democrat Hillary Clinton, to solve the country's economic problems and handle issues such as taxes and burdensome regulations.

Huntsman previously worked under then-Secretary of State Clinton at the State Department when he served as U.S. ambassador to China.
