Winter Weather Expected In Northern Nevada

If you're traveling to parts north for the holiday, you may run into some winter weather.

The National Weather Service reports cold weather is heading to the Sierra valleys, with temperatures in the single digits in parts of the region. It's projected to be the coldest weather in that area since January 2013. The low Friday morning in Tonopah is expected to be 18 degrees.

In Truckee, it will be a chilly 4 degrees.
