Earthquake Rattles Southern Nevada

Southern Nevada was rattled by an earthquake just before noon Friday.

A 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit south-southwest of Caliente at 11:47 a.m. 

Caliente is about 150 miles northeast of Las Vegas, but the quake was still felt in the valley. The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 3.8 aftershock at 12:05
