LV Valley Water District Warns Against Scammers, Salespeople

The Las Vegas Valley Water District today issued a warning about people who claim to be district employees asking to enter homes to inspect for leaks or collect payments.

They said their employees will not do either of those things, and people that do could be thieves or scammers,  or are salespeople working for private companies. A common ploy nationwide is to test the water and then try to sell the homeowner something to fix said to be a problem.

They said water district employees drive official vehicles clearly marked with the district’s blue-and-yellow logo and wear a photo ID badge with the district logo.
