The UNLV School of Music presents dozens of free classical music recitals and concerts every term. Most are by students, performing solo or in small groups. There are also performances by music faculty, guest artists, and visiting ensembles. Some things, such as their symphony orchestra and wind band concerts, have a small charge. Signature Productions presents "My Fair Lady" April 5-30. The musical tells the story of the confident Professor Higgins, who takes a bet that he can transform unrefined, dirty Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a lady and fool everyone into thinking she really is one. He does and thus a young aristocrat falls madly in love with her.
